Job Description

Teacher of Technology Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire Start Date: September 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum GSL Education are seeking to appoint a number of Teachers of Technology to work at Secondary Schools in Thirsk, North Yorkshire starting in September 2025. Teacher of Technology Responsibilities: deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Teach across the Technology subjects (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Food Technology), depending on expertise. Inspire students to take a practical and imaginative approach to problem-solving and design. Support students in developing core skills. Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback. Teacher of Technology Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in a Technology-related subject. Strong subject knowledge in one or more areas of Design Technology. Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities. Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management. A collaborative and enthusiastic team member. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
