Specialty Doctor – Psychiatry (Inpatient Services) Location: Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 5JP Salary: £80,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 per week | Full-time | Permanent We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join a leading inpatient mental health service based in Royston, Hertfordshire . This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care in a secure and professional setting. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and contribute to the development of comprehensive treatment plans Work under the guidance of the Consultant Psychiatrist to support the care pathway for service users Participate in clinical governance, audits, and CPD activities Provide medical cover on a rota basis, including out-of-hours when required Assist with the supervision and induction of RMOs and junior staff Coordinate physical healthcare in collaboration with the onsite GP and phlebotomy team Requirements: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting Participation in CPD and annual appraisal or RITA Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in the on-call rota Compliance Documentation Required: To be considered, please submit the following: Updated CV GMC registration certificate Medical degree certification Appraisal/RITA evidence (last 12 months) Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to undergo a check) Right to work documentation (passport/visa etc.) Immunisation record and vaccination status (as per infection control standards) References covering the last 3 years of employment Apply Now Please send your CV and required documentation to: clint.snyders@a24locums.co.uk Join a team where your expertise and commitment to excellence will help shape lives for the better.
