SEN LSA’s. Supporting PMLD students. Temp-to-Perm contracts. Supporting Learners with Complex Needs. Mainstream Schools in Oxfordshire About the Job SEN LSA’s to work with children with complex needs on a 1:1 basis. Active Recruitment are working with a number of mainstream schools throughout Oxfordshire who require LSA’s to provide specialist support to students with PMLD, ASD and other associated needs. The work will take place in specialist provisions within the mainstream schools. Requirements They are looking to appoint LSA’s to join them on long-term, temp-to-perm contracts. The school welcomes applications from those candidates who have a real empathy of working with pupils with complex needs and have a high ambition to really make a difference to these young people’s lives. Previous experience of working with student’s with complex needs is essential. Empathy and understanding are key to making a difference in this centre. Any additional training in the following areas are welcome: * PECS * Makaton * Epi Pen Trained * Epilepsy training * Personal care The students will be between the ages of 5-19 and have a range of complex needs including challenging behaviour, non-verbal requirements and some elements of personal care may be needed.
