Develop business relationships with agencies and brokers, underwrite large accounts, direct employee engagement, and manage expenses for the territory. Responsibilities: Monitor risk selection, bond risk, renewal retention, and pricing decisions on a portfolio and individual account level. Review and approve underwriting decisions of staff and ensure compliance to legal requirements and organizational, business and strategic objectives. Analyze performance of portfolio as well as individual account performance Develop appropriate action to drive profitable growth. Create financial and operational goals, budgets, and timelines to meet company standards. Plan, develop, and integrate territory sales plans to achieve top and bottom line objectives. Manage training of associates within surety organization to ensure a high degree of competency and professionalism. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key groups and individuals within the contract lines market.
