Technical Support EngineerPertemps are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a specialist chemical manufacturer who are based in Hampshire. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a background within engineering to take on a Technical Support role.Responsibilities:- Provide extensive technical support and backup to UK & European distributors.- Develop and implementing testing programmes.- Maintain and expand central knowledge databases for product and application information.- Attend site visits to support sales staff with technical details.- Answering calls and emails relating to technical support.- Hosting training sessions and hands on demonstration of the products.- Handling product quality complaints.- Assist with quality control when the QC Technician is absent.- Writing of technical articles and product PR.- Updating CRM database, forwarding sales leads to relevant departments.Requirements:- Experience within a similar role- Experience working with adhesives, sealants, coatings or paints is advantageous- Science based qualification or degree- Engineering background- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Happy to travel to Europe occasionally- Full UK driving licenceThe Technical Support/ Mechanical Engineer Role:- Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm- Negotiable salary depending on experience- Annual Bonus- Happy with occasional travel including European travel and attending exhibitions- 25 days holiday plus bank holiday- Generous pension contribution- Private Medical CoverIf you are interested in this Technical Support Engineer position, please apply below with an up-date CV or get in contact with Jemma at Pertemps.
