You'll get hands-on with high voltage switchgear, transformers, and other equipmentYou will install earthing systems and outdoor gear like bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear.Safety is a top priority, so you'll work according to our safety systems and permit to work systems. You'll need to be adaptable, responding to unpredicted events and planning effectively without supervision.You'll work both independently and as part of a team, mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and apprentices to help them grow. We're looking for someone who is always eager to learn new skills and stay updated with the latest industry standards.Do you have a high degree of manual dexterity? Are you happy to work outdoors in all weathersAre you happy to work in confined spaces?And do you have:Renewables or DNO industry experience with recognised jointing authorisation in HV 33kV (or 66kV or 132kV)NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or completed an approved ApprenticeshipAbility to act as a competent person to receive safety documentationExperience in terminating Inner Cone and T-Boot cable terminationsExperience in installing Indoor / Outdoor Raychem 33kV terminationsYou will have product knowledge of: Nexans, Pfisterer, Prysmian, 3M, Eland, Tratos, or other 33kV cables, Cable Glands and Earthing Link Boxes.Experience in Jointing XLPE to XLPE / XLPE to PILC 11kV / 33kV cable JointsExperience in dressing and cleating above ground terminations.Valid clean UK driving licence.This work is fully on site.Would suit a Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Cabling Site Supervisor with 33kV jointing experience To apply speak to Cindy AndersonWe also have roles in Project Engineering, Site Management, Operations Management, Safety, Health, Environment Quality, Compliance, M&E, Project Management, Trades
