The Role: We are working with a forward-thinking and community-centred secondary school in Shipley seeking a Teacher of modern foreign languages, primarily Spanish, with the ability to offer French or German as a bonus. This full-time position starts in June and will continue until Christmas, with the potential to extend. Position Description Full Time | Shipley | June-Christmas Essential Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. Eligibility to work in the UK. Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to differentiate lessons to meet varied needs Teamwork and collaboration Creativity and flexibility Analytical thinking and problem-solving A proactive and reflective approach to teaching Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated MFL lessons (primarily Spanish). Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. Contribute to the design and development of the MFL curriculum. Use a variety of teaching methods and technology to enhance learning. Support students with additional needs to access the MFL curriculum. Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in CPD. Promote language clubs, competitions or international events.
