Compliance Officer Location: Central London An established and highly regarded law firm specialising in property transactions—particularly for investor purchasers in both domestic and offshore markets—is seeking a talented Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team in the West End of London. The Opportunity: This is a unique chance to step into a crucial role within a busy and respected firm that has been at the forefront of high-value residential and commercial conveyancing for over two decades. You will be part of a collaborative well-established team and have real influence on shaping compliance procedures and risk management practices across the firm. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and oversee the firm’s compliance framework across AML, SRA, GDPR, and other regulatory obligations Conduct internal audits and file reviews; implement any necessary remedial actions Act as point of contact for compliance queries and regulatory changes Lead training sessions for legal and support staff on regulatory compliance matters Monitor and update the firm’s policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements Liaise with external bodies (e.g., the SRA, Law Society) as required Assist with CQS accreditation maintenance and lender panel compliance obligations Ideal Candidate Profile: Relevant compliance experience within a law firm.
