Junior Technician/ Architectural Technologist

Job Title: Junior Technician/ Architectural Assistant Location: Bedford Salary: Negotiable, DOE XCL Group are working alongside a well established residential and commercial architecture firm that are looking to expand their team further with a Junior Architectural Technician based at their Bedford office. This is a perfect opportunity for a keen individual who is looking to start or expand their career within the architectural and design industry, contributing to the residential team. Job Responsibilities * Creating drawings/plans by using AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and other software * Drafting planning drawings, specifically for house types and multi- unit layouts * Completing hand sketches to present design ideas * Collaborating with all parties to promote a good working environment by communication and creative thinking * Assist with producing design statements and any other documents relevant to the planning applications * Supporting the residential architecture team The Ideal Candidate * Relevant degree in architecture/ design is desirable but not essential * Competent in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft office packages * Experience using SketchUp and 3D rendering packages * Passionate and enthusiastic about the work they’re doing * Can work well as part of a team, as well as individually Hours: Flexible working hours Monday – Friday Benefits & Bonus * Profit Share * Pension Scheme * Flexible working hours, potential hybrid working hours too * Healthcare and Life Insurance * Cycle to work scheme Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
