Business Development Manager – Local Government (Public Sector, UK-Wide) Location: UK Wide Full-Time | Permanent £85,000 car allowance uncapped commission (£200,000 OTE) Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong track record in Local Government IT sales ? Do you understand the intricacies of public sector procurement and thrive in complex, solution-led environments? We’re partnering with a nationally respected Value-Added Reseller (VAR) to find a Business Development Manager focused exclusively on Local Government . You'll play a key role in growing footprint across councils and public sector bodies—opening new accounts and expanding existing relationships across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team with excellent vendor partnerships, trusted delivery capabilities, and a collaborative culture that values sector expertise and long-term client success. What You’ll Be Doing: Drive new business acquisition across Local Government organisations—targeting councils, boroughs, and devolved public bodies. Navigate public sector frameworks such as G-Cloud, CCS, and direct award mechanisms to secure strategic wins. Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in IT, procurement, and digital transformation functions. Collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, bid, and marketing teams to deliver tailored, value-led proposals. Leverage a comprehensive portfolio of solutions: Cloud, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Unified Comms, Licensing , and more. ✅ What We’re Looking For: Demonstrable success in IT sales to Local Government , with solid knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks. Established relationships and contacts across UK councils or local authorities. A consultative sales approach and confidence managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Experience aligning vendor propositions and internal technical teams to drive opportunity conversion. Driven, strategic, and comfortable working autonomously in a target-driven environment. Why Join?
