Job Description
Title: Mechanical Fitter Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble new pumps for OE and aftermarket orders efficiently, following work instructions and laid down parameters. Dismantle and assemble repair/service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders efficiently, following work instructions and laid down parameters. Ensure economic manufacturing to the correct quality standard within the assembly department. Take responsibility for the quality of your own work, including self-inspection and completion of paperwork and applicable checklists. Assist the Operations Manager with issues that arise within the assembly department. Collaborate with other departments to resolve and document issues in line with current procedures in a timely manner. Assist in preparing and updating assembly documentation, programs, and tooling. Participate in continuous improvement activities to help drive down costs and increase productivity. Be available to attend customer sites to carry out service work on behalf of the company if required. Support managers in implementing the company's policies and goals. Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines. Provide ongoing support and training to peers and apprentices within the assembly department as required. Assist in the test area, including hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing. Efficiently set up and strip products off test, following work instructions. Education, Skills, and Experience: Time-served Mechanical Fitter with up to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
