Director, Investment Counselor Principal The Investment Counselor Principal is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their role and the business. They are recognized as a subject matter expert within one area, possessing strong commercial awareness. They are acknowledged authorities both within and outside their area of expertise, typically among a small number of peers with similar expertise. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, with some external communication expected. The role involves providing advanced judgment and conducting in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop innovative solutions. The individual must think beyond existing solutions, assumptions, or current knowledge in sophisticated areas. They have a significant impact on a function and/or the business by making decisions that determine technical approaches and strategies for their area. Citi Private Bank aims to enhance its ability to build relationships with and service the investment needs of ultra-high net worth clients in the US. Responsibilities: Establish, grow, and manage investment relationships with ultra-high net worth clients, demonstrating credibility and entrepreneurial spirit to attract new clients and investment relationships. Leverage existing client relationships, local networks, and investment experience to introduce new ultra-high net worth clients to Citi Private Bank. Build and manage a practice centered on deepening client relationships through appropriate investment advice and solutions. Combine knowledge of traditional and alternative investments with wealth planning and private banking services to optimize client service and cross-marketing opportunities. Work across currencies, asset classes, markets, and jurisdictions. Engage and advise clients on brokerage activity and execute trades seamlessly. Assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and maintaining ethical standards. Qualifications: 15 years of experience in providing investment advice and solutions. Possession of CFA, MBA, or other advanced degrees is a plus. Requires advanced judgment and the ability to conduct in-depth analysis, think beyond existing solutions, assumptions, or current knowledge in sophisticated areas. For US candidates: S7, S66 (or 63 & 65), and S3 exams; SIE is a prerequisite for the S7. Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. J-18808-Ljbffr
