Job Description
Position Overview: The Microsoft Teams Administrator will manage and support the organization's Microsoft Teams environment. This role will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Teams policies, managing user permissions, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to end-users. The ideal candidate should have experience with Microsoft 365 and Teams administration, a good understanding of IT infrastructure, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly. Key Responsibilities : Microsoft Teams Management : Administer and configure Teams environments and settings. Create, manage, and modify Teams channels, groups, and Teams settings. Monitor Teams usage and manage permissions and security. Manage Teams apps, bots, and integrations within the environment. User Management : Add, remove, and configure users and groups. Assign roles and permissions in Teams. Provide user support for Teams-related issues. Ensure user adoption of Teams features and provide training when necessary. Configuration & Policy Management : Define and implement Teams policies for meetings, messaging, and collaboration. Configure security settings and compliance policies in Teams. Manage Teams governance and ensure adherence to organizational standards. Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Teams, such as connectivity, access, and functionality. Collaborate with IT teams to resolve system-wide issues. Monitor and manage Teams' performance and ensure reliable operation. Collaboration & Reporting: Work with business and technical teams to understand collaboration requirements. Generate reports on Teams usage, activities, and compliance. Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation and guides for users. Stay Updated: Stay informed of the latest Microsoft Teams features, updates, and best practices. Participate in Microsoft training and certifications to improve skills and knowledge. Required Skills: Strong experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 administration. Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and Exchange Online. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Teams management. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate are a plus. Good to have skills: Experience with Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center. Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. Experience with hybrid or cloud environments.
