System Engineer

Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer with 3- 6 years of hands-on experience in system administration, networking, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments, virtual machines, cloud platforms, and network Responsibilities : - Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems, software, and hardware. - Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability issues. - Install and configure Windows and Linux software and packages. - Set up and manage LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and ensure seamless network connectivity. - Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls. - Implement and manage backup solutions and antivirus systems. - Perform patch management and have a working knowledge of databases. - Administer Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019). - Manage Windows services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, backup solutions, and VMware virtual environments. - Document systems, processes, and configurations in accordance with industry best practices. - Troubleshoot complex issues with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Work with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, and Office 365. - Demonstrate the ability to work independently and learn quickly in a dynamic Skillsets : - Strong knowledge of Windows, Cloud Services, Networking, and Virtual Machines - Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, or RHCE are preferred - Hands-on experience with Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V - Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting - Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and network monitoring tools - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Office 365 - Familiarity with Linux administration and basic Bash/shell scripting - Experience with data backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and antivirus systems - Competence in patch management, system updates, and software deployment - Exposure to database management and integration with infrastructure - Ability to create and maintain technical documentation using standard templates - Knowledge of ITIL processes, ticketing systems, and service management tools - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities - Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection - Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional teams - Self-driven, quick learner with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively (ref:hirist.tech)
