Engineering Manager - Java Technologies

Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. - Provide technical guidance and direction to team members, ensuring alignment with the company's technology and product goals. - Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and build professional development plans for engineers. - Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define and prioritize features and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. - Design and architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices systems. - Leverage your deep Java expertise to lead the design and development of backend services using the Spring Framework, ensuring robust, efficient, and maintainable code. - Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization. - Drive the adoption of modern technologies and methodologies (e. g., DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-based infrastructure). - Build and optimize products and services that cater to B2C customers, ensuring a seamless user experience and high system reliability. - Solve complex engineering challenges that directly impact the business's customer base and growth. - Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team. - Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to keep the team and systems at the cutting edge. - Drive improvements in the overall software development lifecycle and streamline processes. Requirements : - 11 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in an engineering management or leadership role. - Proven experience in building and leading teams that design and deliver high-performance B2C products. - Strong experience in designing and architecting Microservices solutions with Java. - Expertise in Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and RESTful services. - In-depth understanding of microservices architectures, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, GCP, Azure). - Strong proficiency in Java and associated technologies (Spring, Hibernate, etc. ). - Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices. - Solid knowledge of database systems (relational and NoSQL). - Understanding of Agile methodologies, version control (Git), and project management tools (Jira, Confluence). - Excellent leadership and people management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing teams. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to make decisions under pressure, solve problems creatively, and deliver under tight timelines. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
