Quality Manager

ROLE: Quality Manager LOCATION: Hertfordshire SALARY: £50,000 - £58,000 per annum We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance function and ensure compliance with industry, customer, and regulatory standards. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring adherence to AS9100, ISO9001, and NADCAP, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing company. Key Responsibilities Oversee and maintain regulatory approvals, including AS9100, ISO9001, and NADCAP. Manage and update Quality Manuals, Procedures, and Compliance Matrices. Ensure ongoing compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits. Develop and maintain an effective Internal Audit Program. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using tools like FMEA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis. Act as the primary contact for customer quality-related issues. Manage customer returns, conducting thorough investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa (Fishbone) Analysis. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by overseeing PPAP, PFMEA, and DVI processes. Monitor and improve supplier quality performance, maintaining the Approved Essential Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management within an AS9100-certified environment. Knowledge of NADCAP (PRI) requirements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Experience in internal auditing for AS9100 & ISO9001. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in problem-solving tools (FMEA, 8D, SPC, PPAP, PFMEA). Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection processes. Knowledge of Process Mapping, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa analysis.
