Job Description
Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business, which operates 7 days a week, that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams. Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically bias) 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift 6am-2pm/1pm-9pm Participation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5). Location: nr Chippenham, Wiltshire Salary: £40,185 plus on call allowance (additional £3852 per year/£321 per month) Other Benefits: Overtime paid at 1.33 (after 40 hours worked per week) 34 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) Pension contributions (5% employee and 3% employer contributions) Pluxee Employee Discount scheme BHSF Healthcare cash back scheme Generous company sick pay scheme (after 1 years service) Cycle to work scheme (scheme rules) Death in service (after 1 years service) Significant birthday benefit (after 1 years service) The position's responsibilities are: Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines Mechanical fault finding Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) Small installation projects Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores Support the Operations team in achieving targets Complying to the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures Contributing to cost effective technical solutions Deliver to the operational expectations Be part of a weekend call-out rota To be successful, we would like you to have: A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) Have experience working as a Shift Electrician or as a dedicated Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical. Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical Engineer. Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
