Job Overview: We’re looking for a commercially driven individual with strong merchant sales experience to take on a key role within our team at Plumbase Manchester. You’ll be expected to drive site revenue through account growth, new business, and customer relationship management. Key Responsibilities: * Grow revenue through proactive account development and re-engagement of underperforming accounts * Develop new business through existing industry contacts and local networking * Manage relationships with key trade customers, providing tailored support and advice * Deliver quotes, negotiate pricing, and support the counter team with product knowledge and strategy * Represent the branch at trade events, customer visits, and industry functions as needed Collaborate with the branch manager and wider team to identify growth opportunities What We’re Looking For: * Experience in plumbing & heating or builders’ merchant sales (essential) * A strong network within the local trade industry * Proven ability to build and grow profitable customer relationships * Confident in quoting, negotiation, and commercial decision-making * Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working autonomously * Full UK driving license (customer visits required) Why Us? * High level of autonomy to manage your patch and customer base * Competitive salary Profit Share * Access to product training and strong back-office support * Be part of a site where initiative and drive are genuinely valued Keywords: Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Trade Sales, Plumbing Merchant, Builders Merchant, Key Account Manager, Branch Sales, Heating and Pipeline Sales, Merchant Sales, Trade Counter Sales
