General Manager – Warehouse & Operations Salary £40,000 Our client, a well-established pallet distribution company, is expanding its operations and is seeking a General Manager to lead its new production warehouse in Haverhill, Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to build and develop a high-performing team while driving operational excellence at a brand-new site. Key Responsibilities: * As General Manager, establish and oversee the operational framework for the new warehouse, ensuring readiness for automation planned for summer 2025. * Recruit, lead, and develop a strong team to support operational success and business growth. * Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and productivity in production. * Report directly to senior leadership, providing updates on performance, challenges, and areas for improvement. * Work closely with other departments to maintain a smooth and effective workflow. Skills & Experience: * Previous experience as a General Manager or senior operations leader in a warehouse or distribution setting. * Background in production, transport, or sales is beneficial. * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Ability to foster a positive team culture and align with company values.
