Job Description: My client is looking for a skilled Lead QA Engineer to join their dynamic software engineering team, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for a niche global market The role involves overseeing the entire QA lifecycle, from test planning and design to execution and reporting, ensuring defect-free products that meet customer needs You will lead both manual and automation QA efforts across four UI teams, implementing metrics to track progress and align with company goals With a focus on modern web application technologies, youll collaborate closely with developers, mentor QA staff, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes The company fosters a flexible, hybrid work environment in Cape Town, blending remote and in-office collaboration to suit your needs This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that tackle complex challenges, such as big data analysis and telecommunications protocol processing, contributing to solutions that support global stability and security The team values open communication, innovation, and a commitment to learning, offering a supportive culture where your leadership will shape QA excellence Skills & Experience: 8 years of hands-on experience testing production-level web applications using object-oriented languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Boot, Vue.js) Deep expertise in QA domains, including test process management, planning, design, implementation, execution, reporting, and closure Proven ability to lead and mentor QA teams, overseeing both manual and automation testing within the SDLC Strong understanding of software standards, processes, and best practices Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Playwright, Bitbucket, GIT, Visual Studio Code, Maven, Jenkins, pgAdmin, and DBeaverSQL Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and tech stacks including Storybook, Vuex, and Vuetify Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with a collaborative and innovative mindset Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster clear, open team interactions Qualification: A relevant IT Qualification ISTQB Certification Contact LIZAAN BUNNING on
