Job Title : Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS Focus) Department : Technology/Engineering Reports To : Head of Infrastructure/Engineering Manager Location : Delhi, India About the Job : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Operations Engineer with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic technology team in Delhi. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our AWS production systems. You will be responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing our AWS infrastructure through robust CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for automating operational processes to optimize efficiency and security. You will play a key role in providing primary operational support for all our cloud and enterprise deployments and will be a leader in implementing and enforcing security best practices across our : - AWS Infrastructure Management : Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and CloudFormation/Terraform. - CI/CD Pipeline Development and Maintenance : Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline, and others to automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning. - System Reliability and Scalability : Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and capacity of AWS production systems, implementing solutions for high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. - Security Implementation and Management : Lead the organization in implementing and enforcing security best practices and policies within the AWS environment, including security groups, IAM roles, KMS, and compliance frameworks. - Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution : Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to application development, deployment, and operations within the AWS environment, ensuring minimal downtime. - Automation of Operational Processes : Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools (e. , Python, Bash, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to streamline repetitive operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors. - Cloud Platform Expertise : Provide primary operational support and engineering for all cloud and enterprise deployments, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices. - Monitoring and Alerting : Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact production. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Embrace and promote the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage and provision infrastructure in a consistent and repeatable manner. - Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with development teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations and deployments. - Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. - Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within our cloud infrastructure. Qualifications : - Education : A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience : - 4-5 years of hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). - Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications on AWS. - Solid experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS is primary focus). - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS preferred). - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. - Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack. - Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing) and security best practices in a cloud environment. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.
