Principal Data Engineer - Amazon Athena

Responsibilities : - Working with stakeholders to understand needs to respect data structure, availability, scalability, and accessibility. - Supporting the translation of business data needs into technical system requirements. - Building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience. - Delegation of tasks and integration plans. - Selection of the right tools tech based on use cases. - Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance. - Developing high-quality code to build and deploy machine learning models. - Developing scripts to process structured and unstructured data. - Extraction, transformation, loading, and integration of data from various sources. - Designing, developing, testing, and deploying back-end software systems and architectures, such as robust data-processing pipelines. - Investigating and resolving technical issues by deploying updates/ fixes. - Recommending, developing, and implementing ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science from a reputed institute/university. - 6 years of strong experience in building Java-based server-side solutions. - Strong Programming experience in Languages like Python, Java, and Scala. - Expertise in Java, Springboot or Java Vertx, Spark, Airflow. - Knowledge of MySQL, Postgres, Redshift(Optional), Kafka(Message broker). Aerospike(Cache). - Experience in AWS(S3 EMR, Athena, SQS). - Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. (ref:hirist.tech)
