Business Integra - OT Security Consultant

Job Description : We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable OT Security Consultant to lead and contribute to our Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity initiatives across various manufacturing facilities in India. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique security challenges within OT/ICS environments, a strong grasp of IT-OT convergence, and a proven track record of implementing and managing robust security solutions in industrial settings. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent technical, advisory, and project management skills, capable of driving OT security best practices and ensuring the resilience of critical Technical Skill Set : - OT/ICS (Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems) cybersecurity principles and practices. - Comprehensive knowledge of IT and OT landscape and network architectures, including their integration points and security implications. - Significant experience working within manufacturing environments and understanding their specific OT security requirements and constraints. Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) : Must-Have : - Extensive experience in the OT security industry, including a strong understanding of current threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. - Proven ability to provide expert advisory services and develop tailored mitigation solutions to address OT security risks. - Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting various security practices and technologies within the OT landscape, such as: - Industrial firewalls and security appliances. - Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) specifically designed for OT networks. - Security anomaly monitoring and detection solutions for industrial control systems. - Demonstrable experience in conducting IT-OT network security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies. - Strong capabilities in network solution design and implementation for manufacturing environments, including : 1. Network architecture development (segmentation, zoning). 2. Configuration and management of industrial-grade network devices (switches, routers). 3. Implementation and management of firewalls and demilitarized zones (DMZs) in OT environments. 4. Experience with Active Directory (AD) and its secure integration with OT systems. - Thorough working knowledge of current OT security and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines, including but not limited to NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISA/IEC 62443 series. - Significant hands-on experience with various Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology components, such as : 1. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). 2. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. 3. Historian databases and applications. 4. Distributed Control Systems (DCS). 5. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their OT integrations. - Proven experience in managing OT and OT security-focused projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder : - Exposure to the ISA-95 enterprise-control system integration standard. - Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and their impact on OT security. - Relevant certifications such as IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Professional (e.g., ECSP, ECSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, GIAC Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or other industry recognized OT security Deliverables of / Expectations from the Role: - Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's OT cybersecurity program strategy and roadmap. - Conduct comprehensive OT risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential impacts. - Develop detailed remediation plans and oversee their implementation across manufacturing facilities. - Establish and maintain OT security policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. OT Security Solution Evaluation, Design, Testing, and Implementation : - Evaluate and recommend appropriate OT security solutions and technologies based on organizational needs and industry standards (IEC 62443/ISA 99). - Design secure OT network architectures, including network segmentation, zoning, and firewall configurations. - Plan and execute the testing and validation of implemented security controls and solutions. - Prepare comprehensive documentation related to OT security architecture, configurations, and procedures. - Provide support and guidance during internal and external security assessments and audits. - Track and manage the remediation of identified security findings and maintain accurate records. OT Security Operations and Maintenance : - Responsible for the review, implementation, and management of firewall rules in OT environments. - Validate and ensure the effectiveness of network segmentation strategies. - Establish and oversee backup and recovery procedures for critical OT systems. - Define and manage secure remote access protocols and procedures for OT systems. - Contribute to the development and execution of OT security incident response plans. Training and Awareness : - Develop and deliver training programs on standard and approved OT security tools and processes for relevant personnel. - Promote security awareness and best practices within the OT environment.
