Laravel Developer - Web Technologies

Job Description : We are seeking a talented and experienced Laravel Developer to join our backend development team. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust web applications and APIs using Laravel and other modern PHP technologies. You will collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. This position is ideal for developers who enjoy writing clean, maintainable code and are passionate about backend architecture, performance optimization, and Laravel best practices. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop web applications, APIs, and backend services using Laravel Framework (v8/9/10). - Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and mobile integrations. - Write modular, secure, and well-documented code following Laravel standards. - Create and manage MySQL/PostgreSQL database schemas, relationships, and complex queries. - Use Eloquent ORM effectively for database interactions. - Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security. - Participate in designing scalable backend systems and application architecture. - Implement caching, job queues, and background processing with tools like Redis, Horizon, and Laravel Queues. - Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and security. - Integrate third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, APIs, SMS/email services). - Manage external and internal API documentation and testing using tools like Postman or Swagger. - Write unit, feature, and integration tests using PHPUnit or Pest. - Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes. - Collaborate with DevOps or system administrators to manage deployments, staging environments, and server configurations. - Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration with UI. - Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and team retrospectives. - Communicate progress, blockers, and solutions effectively with technical and non-technical Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development with Laravel (or similar PHP frameworks). - Proficient in PHP 7/8, Laravel, Composer, and modern backend development practices. - Strong experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, database design, and optimization. - Familiar with RESTful API design and integration. - Knowledge of security standards and best practices (e.g., authentication, authorization, encryption). - Solid understanding of version control (Git), Linux environments, and shell scripting basics (ref:hirist.tech)
