Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year A bit about us: Our International, energy industry client is currently seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Tax Manager who excels at communication, team collaboration, and possesses a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including planning, compliance, and research. This role will report directly to the Tax Director and will work closely with various departments within the company to ensure that all tax-related matters are handled efficiently and effectively. Why join us? International Energy Client Needs High Performing Tax Manager! Job Details Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and manage the company's tax planning, compliance, and research activities. 2. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes. 3. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax documents. 4. Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the tax team. 5. Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process. 6. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc. 7. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation. 8. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects. 9. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections. 10. Manage and coordinate tax audits. 11. Maintain and update the company's tax database and prepare accurate reports for both tax compliance and planning. Qualifications: 1. Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accounting tax role. 3. Thorough knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and codes. 4. Experience with both domestic and foreign tax. 5. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners, government agencies, and team members. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-judged decisions. 8. High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 9. Proficient in tax software and MS Office. 10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree in Taxation is highly desirable. 11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 12. Strong business and financial acumen.
