Pay Information $2,124 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift (19:00-07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC Must-Have: - At least 2 years of ED experience - BLS/ACLS/PALS/MOAB/TNCC certifications - Strong communication and assessment skills - Dependability and punctuality - Strong critical thinking skills - Strong understanding of medical terminology Job Description: - Serve in an emergency department caring for patients with multiple comorbidities, complicated heart conditions (NEHI patients), DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke. - Participate in trauma and stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKG, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care. - Work with equipment including U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis EMR Sunrise/Allscripts. - Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surges. - Follow protocols for initial patient care such as ordering workups of labs, EKGs, X-rays, and administering medications. - Work every other weekend for contract labor. - Wear appropriate scrub color attire with safety in mind; no hooded shirts or sweatshirts. - Embody characteristics of a motivated hard worker, creative problem solver, and a general desire to help and care for patients.
