Civil Designer/Technician

Job Description Job Description This job listing is for in-person work based at our office in Weatherford, Texas, where regular on-site attendance is required to support day-to-day operations and team collaboration. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: The Civil Designer is responsible for the design of civil infrastructure including civil paving, water, sewer, grading and storm drainage. This role is responsible for drafting and producing complex construction documents. They will assist the Discipline Lead and/or Project Engineer with reporting, specifications, plans, construction time opinions, cost opinions and permitting. They will also mentor and train Technician staff. Once selected to join our team, you will: Responsible for the design of civil paving, water, sewer, grading and storm drainage infrastructure Draft and produce complex construction documents Assist Discipline Lead and/or Project Engineer in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction time opinions, cost opinions and permitting for projects Mentor and train Technician staff Other duties as assigned KEY QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE: Advanced knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development design Advanced knowledge of civil design, permitting, and construction concepts SKILLS: High attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize Proficient communication and interpersonal skills Effective problem-solving skills Ability to work with a team or independently as needed Ability to deliver feedback EXPERIENCE: At least 5 year of prior drafting and design experience Types of projects: Commercial Site planning Single-Family Residential Subdivisions Company Description Texas Surveying & Engineering, Inc. is a professional land surveying firm based in Weatherford, Texas, with an additional office in Mineral Wells.
