*Posting Number:*2025454 *Posting/Functional Title:*Outreach and Digital Communications Manager *University Pay Plan Title:*Outreach Coordinator *Location:*San Marcos *Department:*College of Education *Recruitment Type:*Open to All *Job Type:*Full-Time *Funding Source:*Permanent *Monthly Salary:*$5,000 - $5,210.39 *Job Category :*Exempt *Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:* * Bachelor’s degree or higher * Proficiency in written and verbal communication * Evidence of skill in website design * Evidence of skill in social media content creation and scheduling * Evidence of skill in conceptualizing, preparing, and writing news stories * Demonstrated initiative with capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment *Preferred Qualifications:* * Evidence of skill in graphic design * Experience using online marketing and communication tools * Experience with marketing strategies * Experience with event planning and management * Evidence of skill in designing digital newsletters *Job Description:*Lead College of Education efforts to engage external and internal constituencies through digital media and in-person events, including alumni, partners, donors, friends, faculty, staff, and students. Promote College accomplishments, research, events, and awards through developing and managing digital content, media, and news stories. Coordinate recruitment information and events for undergraduate and graduate programs. Support the dean in philanthropic outreach. Organize on and off-campus events for external and internal stakeholders. This position is in-person on the San Marcos campus with occasional business travel to the Round Rock Campus and regional events in Texas. *Job Duties:* * Produce and distribute the College of Education’s professional newsletters for external and internal constituents; * Design and manage the College website, including creation of graphics and infographics; * Create content and manage the College’s social media channels; * Manage communication and outreach to engage alumni and donors; * Develop and manage marketing materials and strategies for the College; * Plan and participate in on and off-campus College events, including those for alumni, partners, donors, faculty and staff, students, and prospective students; * Assist the college dean in fundraising efforts and coordinate those with University Advancement; * Take photos at College events for use in social and digital media; * Participate in committees, meetings, and events as assigned; * Additional duties as assigned. *Additional Information to Applicants:*Please submit a resume, list of three references and a cover letter.
