Head of Finance, Singapore - Reporting and Operations (Retail Industry Needed) Location: Singapore *Open to Relocation to Singapore Industry: Retail / Consumer Goods Hudson Recruitment is partnering with a leading global brand in the consumer sector to appoint a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance – Retail Reporting & Operations , based in Singapore. We are seeking a commercially minded accounting leader with deep, hands-on experience in the retail industry —someone who understands the financial complexities of multi-store operations, inventory management, and high-volume transactional environments. Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading the financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting functions across the retail business in Singapore. This includes driving accuracy in reporting, optimizing finance operations, and ensuring strong internal controls in line with both global and local standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of retail financial reporting and ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Oversee retail-related accounting operations including inventory, sales revenue, cost of goods sold, and store-level performance Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on retail KPIs and margin analysis Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies in a fast-paced retail environment Ensure full compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and internal audit policies Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders across the region Provide strategic financial guidance to retail leadership for decision-making and growth Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA or equivalent is essential At least 10 years of progressive finance experience with a minimum of 5 years in the retail industry Proven expertise in managing retail accounting operations in a multinational or regional capacity Strong understanding of inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and POS integration Experience working in high-growth, high-transaction volume environments Familiarity with APAC statutory requirements and IFRS standards What’s on Offer: Join a globally respected brand known for innovation and market leadership Be part of a high-performing finance team in a dynamic, retail-driven environment Live and work in Singapore – a global hub for business and lifestyle To submit your application, please apply via this post or email your CV to Sharmayne.chai@hudson.sg .
