Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

Role Description : This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Quality Assurance Tester Manual and Automation at Squash Apps located in Coimbatore. The role will involve test execution, software quality assurance, and utilizing analytical skills to ensure the quality of the software being developed. Key Responsibilities : - Conduct functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web and mobile applications. - Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, etc.). - Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured to validate backend functionality. - Execute database testing (SQL/NoSQL) to ensure data integrity and consistency. - Ensure proper test coverage, create test cases, test plans, and test reports. - Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright. - Set up and configure automation testing environments for web and mobile applications. - Implement and maintain continuous testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.). - Work on performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner to analyze system performance. - Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the development pipeline. - Ensure adherence to quality assurance best practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide test estimates. - Troubleshoot, analyze, and report issues effectively, working towards a resolution with the development team. - Identify areas for process improvements and suggest automation opportunities. - Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in QA and test automation. Technical Skills & Requirements : Mandatory Skills : - 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with expertise in both manual and automated testing. - Strong understanding of test execution, test planning, and defect tracking. - Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, Playwright. - Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured. - Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL database testing (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). - Ability to set up and configure automation testing environments. - Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). - Knowledge of security testing and penetration testing tools. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration for test automation. - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, SauceLabs). - Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
