Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician for an 80-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Vermont, starting 07/07/2025. The ideal candidate will work four days per week, from 8 AM to 5 PM, in an outpatient clinic setting. Additionally, the physician will provide 24-hour call coverage one weekend per month, from Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM. This role involves delivering comprehensive care for spasticity patients, including Botox treatments, spinal cord injury management, general musculoskeletal and PM&R care, EMG studies, joint injections, and other related procedures. The physician will work in an Orthopedics & Rehabilitation Center, utilizing the Epic system for patient management. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a diverse rehabilitation setting with potential for extension. Job Details: Location: Vermont Facility Type: Hospital (Orthopedics & Rehabilitation Center) Start Date: 07/07/2025 LOA: 80 days Provider Type Needed: Physician (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) Schedule: 4 days/week, 8 AM - 5 PM; 24-hour call coverage one weekend per month Responsibilities and Duties: Provide outpatient clinic sessions for spasticity patients Administer Botox treatments for various conditions Manage spinal cord injury cases Conduct general musculoskeletal and PM&R evaluations and treatments Perform EMG studies and interpret results Administer joint injections and other related procedures Utilize Epic system for patient management and record-keeping Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the rehabilitation center Provide on-call coverage as scheduled Stay updated on the latest developments in PM&R and rehabilitation medicine Offer patient education on rehabilitation processes and home care Additional Information: Active Vermont medical license required Board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Experience with Botox treatments and EMG studies preferred Familiarity with Epic EMR system a plus Strong clinical skills in managing complex rehabilitation cases Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care Flexibility to handle both scheduled clinic hours and on-call responsibilities Apply now to learn more!
