Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/14/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Compensation & Schedule Shift Type: Nights (12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week) Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, including holiday coverage On-Call: None Overtime & Holiday Multiplier: 1.25x Job Description Join the team at Valley Regional Hospital, a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital serving Sullivan County. This role requires a highly independent RN who can adapt to a small, rural facility setting . Patient Population: Newborn – Geriatric RN-to-Patient Ratios: Med Surg/Telemetry: 5:1 , depending on acuity Higher acuity PCU patients: 3:1 or 4:1 Experience Required: Medical/Surgical setting with cardiac monitoring Facility Culture: Travelers are expected to function as core staff Floating Policy: Facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles of the hospital. Dress Code: Personal scrubs—any color Submission Requirements Mandatory New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License Experience Requirements: 3 years of PCU, Med Surg, Telemetry experience – Required Basic Dysrhythmia Test – Must be included in profile Previous travel experience – Highly preferred Rural/small facility experience – Highly preferred Traveler must have their own vehicle Requested time off (RTO): Must be included at submission (Maximum 5 days for a 13-week assignment) RTO requests after submission will NOT be approved Facility Will NOT Consider: Travelers seeking block scheduling or alternative schedule accommodations Candidates working concurrently with another travel or perm placement Certification & License Requirements ACLS (AHA) – Required BLS (AHA) – Required State License: NH or Compact RN license must be active at submission (Facility will not pend licenses) About Valley Regional Hospital Valley Regional Hospital, founded in 1893 , is the only general medical and surgical facility in Sullivan County with a 24/7 emergency department .
