Location: Lombardy The role focuses on marketed products in Haematology in northern Italy, with support across the entire country for breast cancer clinical trials. Work Environment: Field-based, 60-70% in the field. Brief Description Serve as a scientific expert for Jazz's marketed and developmental products, implementing medical strategies and building relationships internally and externally. Main responsibilities include responding to scientific inquiries, supporting data generation, executing medical projects, gathering insights from healthcare professionals, and facilitating scientific exchanges through education. Essential Functions Provision of Medical Information Provide accurate, unbiased scientific information to internal and external customers promptly. Deliver scientific and educational meetings compliant with regulations. Support clinicians with scientific data to ensure appropriate access. Communicate emerging data and clinical experiences objectively. Position as Scientific Expert Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapy areas, products, research, and market trends. Establish reputation as a trusted scientific resource. Support the development of Jazz's positioning in disease areas. Attend scientific congresses to stay informed and support activities. Understand local and national clinical practice standards. Support Research Activities Implement Jazz-sponsored studies and projects locally. Identify and collaborate with clinical investigators. Facilitate Investigator Initiated Research requests. Support product lifecycle management and pipeline development. Develop External Relationships Build relationships with external experts and opinion leaders in Italy. Support external advocates and speakers with scientific information. Maintain a database of key contacts. Identify educational and research opportunities. Medical Affairs Planning Contribute to Italy Medical Plan development. Manage budgets for medical tactics. Collaborate across functions to ensure key account management. Engage with healthcare providers for activities like advisory boards and clinical trials. Compliance and Standards Enhance Jazz's image through scientific engagement. Report adverse events and product complaints. Adhere to laws, regulations, and codes of practice. Act ethically and professionally, aligning with company values. Maintain development plans and timely reporting. Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance policies and legal requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to analyze and communicate complex scientific data. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail. Strategic thinking and self-motivation. Adaptability and results orientation. Negotiation and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of the Italian healthcare market and regulations. Proficiency with digital tools. Fluent in spoken English. Willingness to travel at least 60%, with driving required. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of geography, healthcare environment, and external experts in Italy. Ability to develop trust with opinion leaders. Experience in oncology and as a Medical Science Liaison. Education and Licenses Higher scientific qualification (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MSc). Experience in pharma, Medical Affairs, or clinical research.
