Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data visualization and business intelligence (BI), with a focus on Tableau development and implementation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable Tableau solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful insights. Role Overview : This role demands a versatile professional capable of developing and managing complex dashboards, mentoring junior team members, and actively contributing to pre-sales activities and overall organizational objectives. You will be a key contributor to our BI initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau. - Create complex visualizations and implement advanced calculations to address business requirements. - Optimize Tableau workbooks and data sources for performance and efficiency. - Integrate data from diverse sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud platforms. - Develop and optimize data models to support reporting and analysis needs. - Perform data cleansing and transformation to ensure data accuracy and consistency. - Mentor and train junior team members on Tableau development best practices. - Share knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's overall BI capabilities. - Contribute to pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and demonstrating Tableau capabilities. - Support organizational goals by contributing to BI initiatives and projects. - Work as an individual contributor or as part of a team. Technical Expertise : - Perform administration tasks related to Tableau server. - Perform migration tasks from Power BI to Tableau or Tableau to Power BI. Qualifications : Technical Skills : - Extensive hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Server, including the creation of complex dashboards and reports. - Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plus. - Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes. - Experience with other reporting tools is a plus. Experience : - 6 to 8 years of experience in BI and data analysis. - 5 years of experience in Tableau development. Education : - Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
