Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities : Oracle Database Administration : - Manage and maintain Oracle 12c and 19c databases, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Apply PSU patches to various Oracle database versions, performing rolling patches for RAC systems. - Perform database upgrades to 19c, with a focus on rolling upgrades for RAC environments. - Implement and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate for data replication and integration. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot multi-node RAC systems on ASM. - Upgrade and migrate large databases across data centers. - Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimization solutions. - Create and troubleshoot ASM instances. UNIX Systems Administration : - Manage and maintain IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems. - Ensure the stability and security of the underlying operating systems. Performance Tuning and Optimization : - Analyze database performance metrics and implement tuning strategies. - Optimize SQL queries and database configurations for optimal performance. Database Architecture and Design : - Possess a strong understanding of Oracle database architecture. - Contribute to the design and implementation of database solutions. Incident Management and Troubleshooting : - Respond to database incidents and provide timely resolution. - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations and procedures. - Generate reports on database performance and availability. Required Skills & Experience : - 7-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA. - Extensive experience with Oracle 12c and 19c. - Hands-on experience with IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems. - Proven experience in applying PSU patches and performing database upgrades, including rolling upgrades for RAC systems. - Experience with Oracle Golden Gate implementation and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of ASM and multi-node RAC systems. - Experience in upgrading and migrating large databases across data centers. - Excellent performance tuning and optimization skills. - Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (ref:hirist.tech)
