Function : Software Development - IVA / Computer Vision Work Location : Vadodara, Gujarat, India About the Role : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic Computer Vision/Video Analytics team. This team is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge perception algorithms that power our diverse product portfolio. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and optimization of computer vision systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and platforms teams to translate research into robust, deployable solutions. This role demands a strong technical leader who can mentor junior engineers and drive innovation in the field of IVA. Responsibilities : Algorithm Development & Optimization : - Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, recognition, and scene understanding. - Implement and refine deep learning models for various IVA applications. -Conduct thorough experiments to evaluate and improve algorithm performance. System Architecture & Implementation : - Architect and implement robust and scalable computer vision systems. - Integrate computer vision algorithms with hardware and software platforms. - Develop optimized libraries for high-performance computer vision applications. Model Porting & Optimization : - Port and optimize deep learning models for deployment on diverse hardware platforms, including embedded systems. - Analyze and improve model efficiency in terms of speed, memory usage, and power consumption. Data Management & Experimentation : - Curate and manage large datasets for training and evaluation. - Design and execute experiments to validate and improve model performance. - Implement data augmentation and preprocessing techniques. Team Leadership & Mentorship : - Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support. - Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. - Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality. Research & Innovation : - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning. - Conduct research and explore new algorithms and techniques. - Identify and propose innovative solutions to challenging problems. Cross-Functional Collaboration : - Collaborate with hardware, software, and platforms teams to integrate computer vision solutions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates. - Work with product teams to define product requirements. Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or related areas. - Domain Expertise : Strong domain expertise in Computer Vision and Deep Learning. - Computer Science Fundamentals : Solid foundational understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design. - Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills : Deep problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. - Product Development : Proven track record of successfully building and shipping products or contributing to open-source projects. Must-Have Skills : - Computer Vision Optimization : Extensive experience building and optimizing libraries for fast computer vision applications. - Model Development & Experimentation : Proven experience curating data, creating and optimizing deep learning models, and conducting rigorous experiments. - Deep Learning Expertise : Expert knowledge of the principles, algorithms, and tools of applied Deep Learning, including model training strategies, data processing, cost functions, and quality metrics. - Deep Learning Frameworks : Proficiency in one or more deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. - Hardware Optimization : Experience porting and optimizing models and algorithms for various hardware platforms. - Programming Skills : Strong programming skills in Python and C++. - Continuous Learning : A strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning. Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience working with multiple video streams for simultaneous integration into machine learning algorithms. - Experience optimizing deep learning models for embedded form factors. - Publications in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related areas. - Experience with GPU programming. - Experience with video codec. - Experience with real time operating systems.
