Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing

Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of testing tasks. - Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. - Develop and implement test automation strategies and frameworks. - Design and implement automated test scripts using TestNG, Cucumber, and other relevant tools. - Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks. - Drive the adoption of best practices for test automation. - Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements. - Execute manual and automated test cases across various testing stages (functional, regression, performance, API, security, usability). - Manage and track defects using test management/defect management tools (HP ALM, Jira). - Perform API testing using Postman and other API testing tools. - Ensure seamless integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines. - Work closely with development teams in Scrum/Agile environments. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure clear understanding of requirements. - Ensure adherence to software testing methodologies and best practices. - Monitor and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes. Requirements : Experience : - 5 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation). - Proven experience in leading and managing test teams. - Strong end-to-end testing experience and a proven track record in test projects. Technical Skills : - Expertise in TestNG, Postman, and Cucumber (mandatory). - Expertise in automation testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, and Cypress. - Proficiency in at least one scripting language like Python, Java, or JavaScript. - Strong understanding of SQL queries for database testing. - Experience with test management/defect management tools like HP ALM or Jira. - Knowledge of application testing methodologies. - Experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, API testing, security testing, and usability testing. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. - Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum). Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms. - Experience with performance testing tools. - Experience with security testing tools. - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
