Lead DevOps Engineer

Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and automating our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth deployments, system stability, and scalability across cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities : - Lead DevOps Practices : Lead the DevOps initiatives, defining and implementing processes for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC). - Automation : Automate manual processes, build pipelines for deployment, and implement configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. - Cloud Infrastructure Management : Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) ensuring scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery. - CI/CD Pipelines : Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployments. - System Monitoring and Performance Optimization : Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance, ensuring uptime and responsiveness. - Collaboration with Development Teams : Work closely with development, testing, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications in a timely manner. - Security and Compliance : Implement security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and auditing to maintain a secure infrastructure. - Containerization and Orchestration : Lead the adoption and optimization of containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration tools. - Incident Management and Troubleshooting : Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, implementing post-mortem analysis, and recommending improvements. - Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Document infrastructure, processes, and configurations, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team and organization. Required Skills & Qualifications : Experience : - 6-8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles, with a proven track record in leading DevOps initiatives. - CI/CD Expertise : Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar. - Cloud Platforms : Strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands-on knowledge of cloud-native services and infrastructure management. - Containerization & Orchestration : Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration tools for application deployment and scaling. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. - Configuration Management : Experience in automation and configuration management with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar. - Scripting & Programming : Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate tasks and improve processes. - Monitoring & Logging : Proficient in monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar. - Security Best Practices : Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices related to DevOps, including encryption, vulnerability management, and access control. - Leadership & Collaboration : Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive organizational change in DevOps practices. - Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
