Senior Site Reliability Engineer (L3) About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (L3) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our critical applications and infrastructure. You will leverage your deep expertise in scripting, infrastructure as code, database administration, and cloud technologies to maintain a robust and efficient production environment. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting complex issues, automating processes, and driving continuous improvement : - Production Environment Management : Ensure the stability, performance, and availability of critical applications and infrastructure in both cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments. - Database Administration : Manage and optimize production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) for medium to large enterprises, including performance tuning, backups, and disaster recovery. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration. - Scripting and Automation : Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, Go) to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention. - Cloud Infrastructure : Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. - Containerization and Orchestration : Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes environments. - Monitoring and Logging : Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to proactively identify and resolve issues. - Incident Management : Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Performance Optimization : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize application and infrastructure performance, and ensure high availability. - Collaboration : Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient operations. - Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures. - Continuous Improvement : Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, efficiency, and security. Requirements : - Experience : 8-10 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or similar role (L3 level). - Scripting : Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Go. - Infrastructure as Code : Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible. - UNIX Environment : Experience supporting critical applications in a UNIX environment. - Database Management : Expertise in managing production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) in Cloud or On-Premise environments for medium to large enterprises. - Cloud Platforms : Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud environments. - Containerization : Solid understanding and experience with Kubernetes. - Logging and Monitoring : Proficiency with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). - Education : Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field required, with 5 years of relevant experience. - Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Communication : Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Automation : Strong focus on automation and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. - Experience with configuration management tools. - Familiarity with security best practices. - Certifications in AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, or database administration.
