Job Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Data Scientist with a strong focus on Generative AI to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge data and AI solutions, with a specific emphasis on leveraging Generative AI technologies. You will lead a team of talented data scientists, provide strategic guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI-driven solutions. Responsibilities : Generative AI Leadership & Innovation : - Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative Generative AI solutions, leveraging NLP, text analytics, sentiment analysis, transformer models, LLMs, and vector databases. - Develop and execute Generative AI roadmaps, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from ideation to deployment. - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Generative AI and data science, evaluating emerging technologies and best practices. Team Leadership & Mentorship : - Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the data science team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development in AI technologies. - Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration. Strategic Collaboration & Alignment : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) to identify and prioritize AI opportunities, aligning with business objectives and operational needs. - Partner with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable Generative AI solutions, driving tangible value for the organization. Research & Development : - Lead and contribute to AI research initiatives, publishing findings and representing the organization in industry forums and events. - Oversee the design and optimization of Generative AI algorithms, models, and frameworks, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and accuracy. AI Ethics & Governance : - Champion the adoption of AI ethics and governance principles, embedding responsible AI practices into our solutions and processes. Project Management & Delivery : - Ensure the successful delivery of gen-AI projects/solutions from ideation to deployment. Required Technical Skills : Generative AI & NLP : - Extensive experience with transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT, T5). - Strong proficiency in NLP techniques (e.g., text analytics, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition). - Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs). - Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate). Machine Learning & Data Science : - Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models. - Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques. - Experience with data management and visualization techniques. Programming & Databases : - Expertise in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers). - Proficiency in R and MATLAB. - Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills. Cloud Computing : - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their AI/ML services is highly desirable. Project Management & Communication : - Strong project management skills. - Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and mentor talent. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. Qualifications : - Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on AI/ML. - Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. - Strong publication record or demonstrable contributions to the field of AI. - Proven experience in leading and mentoring data science teams. - Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
