AEM Administrator - DevOps

Job Description: AEM Admin & DevOps Engineer Location: Remote Experience: 7 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Joining: Immediate or ASAP Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile AEM Admin & DevOps Engineer to play a critical role in managing our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms and optimizing our DevOps workflows. This is a hybrid role that demands a deep understanding of AEM administration coupled with strong hands-on expertise in DevOps practices and tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, performance, security, and efficient deployment of our mission-critical AEM environments. We are looking for a proactive and problem-solving individual who can work independently and collaboratively with development teams. Key Administration: - Environment Management: Administer and maintain all AEM environments, including Author, Publish, and Dispatcher instances across different stages (Development, Staging, Production). - Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor and optimize AEM performance through effective configuration of replication, clustering, caching mechanisms (e.g., CDN, AEM caching), and JVM tuning. - User and Security Management: Manage AEM users, groups, and permissions, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices. - Package Management and Deployments: Create, manage, and deploy AEM content packages and code releases across various environments. - Log Analysis and Troubleshooting: Monitor AEM logs, identify potential issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve system problems. - Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage AEM backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - AEM Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute AEM upgrades, service pack installations, and hotfix deployments in a controlled and efficient manner. - Dispatcher Configuration and Management: Configure and manage Adobe Dispatcher for caching, load balancing, and security. - Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with AEM developers to understand application requirements and provide necessary administrative support. DevOps Engineering: - Automation of Deployments: Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage infrastructure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Cloud Platform Management: Manage and maintain AEM deployments on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Monitoring and Alerting: Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Splunk, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), New Relic, or Prometheus/Grafana. - System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively troubleshoot issues across all environments. - Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. - Version Control: Utilize and manage version control systems like Git (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). - Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages such as Shell (Bash) and Python. - Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for consistent environment configuration. - Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across the AEM infrastructure and deployment processes. - Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, QA, and other operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient release Extensive AEM Admin & DevOps Experience: Minimum of 7 years of combined hands-on experience in AEM administration and DevOps engineering. - Deep AEM Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including Author, Publish, and Dispatcher components, as well as underlying infrastructure. - AEM Performance Tuning Expertise: Proven ability to optimize AEM performance through various techniques like replication strategies, clustering configurations, caching mechanisms, and JVM tuning. - CI/CD Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with at least one major CI/CD tool (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Experience: Experience with infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Cloud Platform Expertise: Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a strong understanding of cloud deployment models. - Containerization and Orchestration Skills: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or similar container orchestration platforms). - Version Control Proficiency: Strong understanding and practical experience with Git. - Scripting Skills: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Shell - Bash, Python). - Configuration Management Familiarity: Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. - Monitoring and Logging Tools Experience: Experience setting up and utilizing monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, New Relic). - Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, and CDN. - Web Server Knowledge: Experience with web servers like Apache and/or Nginx configuration and management. - Security and Compliance Awareness: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in a web application environment. - Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Problem-Solving1 Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely 7 years of relevant experience in AEM Administration and (ref:hirist.tech)
