Senior Data Mining Analyst

Job Description : - Lead end-to-end data mining projects, from defining business objectives and data collection to model development, validation, and deployment. - Apply a wide range of advanced data mining techniques, including but not limited to : 1. Classification and Regression 2. Clustering and Segmentation 3. Association Rule Mining 4. Time Series Analysis and Forecasting 5. Anomaly Detection 6. Natural Language Processing (NLP) - if applicable to your data 7. Graph Mining - if applicable to your data - Design and implement robust data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing pipelines to ensure data quality and integrity. - Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms using appropriate programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL). - Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics and iterate to optimize results. - Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain scalable data infrastructure for analysis. - Communicate complex data insights and findings effectively through visualizations, presentations, and reports to diverse audiences, including senior management. - Identify new opportunities for leveraging data mining to address business challenges and drive innovation. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data mining techniques, tools, and industry best practices. - Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering their technical growth and contributing to the team's overall knowledge. - Contribute to the development of data governance policies and Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline. - 8-12 years of proven experience as a Data Mining Analyst or in a similar role focused on extracting insights from large datasets. - Deep understanding of various data mining methodologies, algorithms, and their practical applications. - Strong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data analysis (e.g., Python with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn; R). - Excellent SQL skills for data manipulation and querying across different database systems. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) to effectively communicate findings. - Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis. - Experience in handling and processing large and complex datasets. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences. - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Experience in leading data mining projects and managing Skills : - Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). - Experience with machine learning techniques and their implementation. - Experience with experiment design and A/B testing. - Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks (ref:hirist.tech)
