Network Security Engineer

Overview : We are currently hiring a seasoned Network & Security L3 Engineer to lead and support our enterprise-level, multi-vendor network operations. This role involves comprehensive responsibility for managing firewalls, network devices, software upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring security and uptime across all network systems. The ideal candidate should bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in network and security Responsibilities : - Administer and support Palo Alto Firewalls, including configuration of security policies, threat prevention, VPNs, and regular firmware updates. - Oversee and maintain Cisco Meraki systems such as switches, wireless access points, and security appliances. - Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Switches across core, distribution, and access layers. - Deliver L3-level technical support for network incidents and service tickets. - Handle day-to-day operations including issue resolution, system performance tuning, and user connectivity support. - Execute firmware/software upgrades on network hardware. - Manage AV and conferencing equipment (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Poly, MS Teams Rooms) to support smooth communications. - Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners for implementations, migrations, and support. - Investigate and resolve recurring issues through root cause analysis. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of the network environment, including device inventory and change logs. - Adhere to ITIL processes and participate in structured change management. - Continuously monitor the network and perform capacity planning. - Assist with audits and network security Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 10 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise network infrastructures. - In-depth expertise in: 1. Palo Alto Firewalls (PCNSA or PCNSE preferred). 2. Cisco Meraki systems and dashboard management. 3. Cisco Layer 2/3 Switches, VLANs, trunking, and STP. 4. AV solutions like Zoom, Poly, and Teams Rooms. - Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), NAT, ACLs, VPN, and QoS. - Experience with complex, multi-vendor networks. - Familiar with tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, and network monitoring platforms. - Strong skills in creating network documentation and diagrams. - Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills. - Industry certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or Meraki CMNA are highly Skills : - Knowledge of SD-WAN, NAC, and Zero Trust security models. - Scripting capabilities using Python or Ansible for network automation tasks.
