Quality Assurance Manager - Appium/Selenium

Key Responsibilities : QA Strategy and Planning : - Develop and implement the overall quality assurance strategy, plans, and procedures - Define quality metrics, standards, and acceptance criteria. - Collaborate with development, product, and other teams to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle. Test Management : - Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Manage different types of testing, including functional, integration, system, performance, and regression testing. - Ensure adequate test coverage based on requirements and risk assessment. Defect Management : - Establish and manage the defect tracking process, ensuring timely identification, reporting, prioritization, and resolution of defects. - Analyze defect trends and provide insights for process improvement. Team Leadership and Development : - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. - Assign tasks, set performance expectations, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members. Automation Strategy and Implementation : - Develop and drive the test automation strategy, identifying opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and test coverage. - Oversee the selection and implementation of appropriate automation tools and Monitoring and Analysis : - Monitor and analyze key quality metrics to identify areas for improvement. - Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and areas of concern. Continuous Improvement : - Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team and across the organization. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process. - Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality and Communication : - Effectively communicate quality-related information to all stakeholders. - Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables. - Participate in project meetings and provide QA : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5-7 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with demonstrated experience in a leadership role. - Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans. - Strong understanding of different testing methodologies and techniques. - Hands-on experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail). - Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). - Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. - Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - A strong commitment to quality and a customer-centric approach.
