Solution Architect - Backend Technologies

Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop high-level architecture diagrams and solution blueprints. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and propose scalable solutions. - Ensure systems are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance. - Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms. - Oversee implementation and integration of systems, ensuring adherence to architectural standards. - Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams. - Define API contracts, data models, and deployment strategies. Technical Skills : Must-Have : - Strong experience in designing distributed systems, microservices, and APIs. - Expertise in at least one backend technology stack : Java / Node.js / .NET / Python. - Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms : AWS / Azure / GCP. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevOps tooling. - Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures. - Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Exposure to application security best practices and compliance : - Experience with serverless architectures, event streaming (Kafka), or domain-driven design. - Prior experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams. - Certifications in cloud (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus. Soft Skills : - Strong communication and stakeholder management. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. - Comfortable making architectural decisions under time and resource constraints (ref:hirist.tech)
