Test Specialist - Selenium/TestNG

Position : Test Specialist Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Experience : 5 - 10 Years Company : Talent Worx (Recruiting for a Leading Client) Job Summary : We are seeking a seasoned Test Specialist to join our client's team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and a passion for quality. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. - Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing across various platforms and devices. - Ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify potential risks. - Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Communicate effectively with developers and product managers to facilitate quick resolution of defects. - Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing. - Utilize automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP/UFT, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Postman) to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Apply knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., black box, white box, gray box, exploratory testing). - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. - Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. - Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. - Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality standards. - Provide clear and concise test reports and status updates. - Effectively communicate testing progress, risks, and issues. - Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Contribute to the development of user stories and acceptance criteria. - - Ensure timely delivery of testing deliverables within sprint timelines. - Provide training and support to junior testing staff as needed. - Share knowledge and best practices with team members. Requirements : Experience : 5-10 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on functional and non-functional testing. Technical Skills : - Proficient in creating and executing test plans and test cases. - Strong understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and SDLC. - Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Experience with database testing and SQL queries. - Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured). - Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile testing. - Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP/UFT, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress) is preferred.
