Senior Consultant/Deputy Manager - Data Privacy Management

Job Title: Data Privacy Senior Consultant / Deputy Manager Experience: 3 Years Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Gurgaon Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Privacy Senior Consultant / Deputy Manager with 3 years of relevant experience in conducting data privacy assessments, building Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), and implementing Risk Control Matrices (RCM). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GDPR and working knowledge of CCPA and Indias Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). Key Responsibilities : - Conduct end-to-end Data Privacy Gap Assessments across various business functions and processes. (Note: DPIA experience alone does not qualify as an end-to-end assessment.) - Build or assist in the development of Risk Control Matrices (RCM) for privacy risks. - Prepare and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) as per GDPR and other applicable privacy laws. - Work with cross-functional teams to gather data, assess risks, and identify gaps in privacy compliance. - Provide advisory support on remediation plans for privacy gaps and assist in implementing privacy controls. - Stay up to date on evolving privacy regulations and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. - Participate in client discussions and assist in preparing Final Reports (preferred). Must-Have Skills : - Hands-on experience in conducting End-to-End Data Privacy Gap Assessments - Experience in preparing or assisting with RCMs (Risk Control Matrices) - Practical knowledge in building and maintaining RoPA (Records of Processing Activities) - In-depth understanding and implementation experience with GDPR Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience in preparing or assisting in preparing the Final Privacy Assessment Reports - Familiarity with CCPA and DPDPA (Indias Digital Personal Data Protection Act) - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Educational Qualifications : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field - Industry certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
