Senior PHP Developer - Laravel Framework

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to spearhead the development of our core web application. In this role, you will combine hands-on coding with technical leadership, driving backend architecture, leading a team of developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust solutions. If you are a seasoned developer with a proven track record of technical leadership and a passion for building innovative web applications, we encourage you to : - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex PHP/Laravel web applications and RESTful APIs. - Drive backend architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. - Lead and manage the deployment process, ensuring smooth and efficient releases to production environments. - Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce coding standards, and share knowledge within the team. - Identify and implement performance optimization strategies to enhance application speed and efficiency. - Implement robust security measures to protect applications from vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers, to deliver seamless and integrated solutions. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and best practices. Required Skills and Experience : - 8 years of hands-on experience in PHP development. - 5 years of deep expertise in the Laravel framework. - Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs with documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger). - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns (MVC, CQRS), and software architecture. - Expert-level knowledge of SQL, with a strong preference for MySQL. - Proficiency in working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. - Experience with message queueing systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka. - Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching strategies (e.g., feature branching). - Solid experience with Docker for containerization. - Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean) for deployment and infrastructure management. - Deep understanding of production deployment processes and best practices. - Solid understanding of fundamental front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate effective collaboration with front-end teams. - Extensive knowledge of web security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and vulnerability prevention. - Experience working in Agile development Skills : - Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Hands-on experience with Digital Ocean. - Proficiency in writing unit tests with PHPUnit.
