Java Backend Developer - Spring Boot/Microservices Architecture

Job Title : Senior Backend Developer (Java, Spring Boot, Scala, : 7 to 10 : Bangalore (Hybrid) Job Type : Summary : We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with 710 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with working knowledge of Scala. You will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade backend systems in a distributed, cloud-native environment. This role demands strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for clean, maintainable code. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop scalable, robust, and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot. - Work with Microservices architecture including API development, service discovery, and inter-service communication. - Leverage Scala for functional programming where required, especially in data-intensive or real-time processing systems. - Build RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end and third-party systems. - Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications through performance tuning and optimization. - Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD deployment pipelines. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentoring junior developers. - Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability. - Monitor and troubleshoot production issues as Skills : - Core Languages : Java (8/11), Scala - Frameworks : Spring Boot, Spring Cloud - Architecture : Microservices, RESTful APIs - DevOps/Tools : Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git - Messaging : Kafka, RabbitMQ (preferred) - Databases : PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra - Cloud Platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred) - Testing : JUnit, Mockito, Candidate Profile : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 710 years of backend development experience in enterprise or product-based environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of software design patterns and best practices. - Experience working in agile teams and using version control systems like Git. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have : - Experience with functional programming using Scala or Akka. - Exposure to streaming data platforms (Kafka Streams, Flink, etc.). - Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Helm.
