Software Development Engineer - Test

Job Summary : - We are seeking an ethical, hardworking, and detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. - In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous manual and/or automation testing. - The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong passion for delivering high-quality software. Responsibilities : Test Planning and Execution : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications. - Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks (if applicable). - Execute automated test suites and analyze test results. Defect Management : - Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems. - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. - Verify defect fixes and ensure the quality of software releases. Test Environment Setup and Maintenance : - Set up and maintain test environments to ensure accurate and reliable testing. - Configure test data and ensure data integrity. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test environments. Test Documentation and Reporting : - Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status. - Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. - Communicate testing progress and issues clearly and concisely. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design. Continuous Improvement : - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools. - Identify and recommend improvements to testing processes and procedures. - Contribute to the development of best practices for quality assurance. Automation Development (If applicable) : - Develop and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation code. - Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
